We consider it a privilege to serve your child through our Nursery. We strive to give your child a warm, safe, and Christ-like environment and give your child the foundation they need to continue to grow in Christ. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to spend time with your child.
Bethany Baptist Church Nursery Facilities Policies and Procedures:
What To Bring
When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:
Two or three disposable diapers. No cloth diapers, please.
Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security.
A complete change of clothes in case your child would require that.
A bottle or sippy cup with lid of milk, formula, juice or water, etc..
A snack, if you feel your child will need it. (only finger foods)
Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at the nursery. This helps us keep track of your child's items.
When You Arrive At The Nursery
A nursery worker will meet you at the door to receive your child and any other necessary items. At the time of check-in, you will be given a badge that you will use to check in and out your child. You will need this badge to receive your child at the end of service. If you are needed to return to the nursery for any reason, you will see your number on our screen in the sanctuary.
Goldfish, animal crackers, Cheerios, cookies, pretzels, and cereal puffs are provided for the children during their stay in the nursery. Due to safety regulations, allergies, and other concerns of nursery parents, we do not serve any other alternative snacks and we ask you not send any other snacks with your baby. If your child has a special food allergy, please notify the nursery workers and they will work with you.
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for your activity. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our nursery employees will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return soon. If your child cries for an extended period of time of 10 minutes, we will page you.
Checking On Your Child
Feel free to check on your little one at any time. However, we ask that you do so discreetly, trying not to let your child see you.
Parents are requested to pick up their child as soon as possible at the close of each church activity. At pick-up, please do not enter the nursery. Wait for a worker to bring your child back to you at the door. Please make sure that all your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time.
